01 / SIDE BY SIDE
The details that make a difference on payday.
A focused comparison of crypto payroll capabilities, rather than a ranking of every HR feature.
Product architecture
Web3-native payroll with USDC across Direct Payroll, Employer of Record, Global Contractor Pay and Agent of Record.
Stablecoin funding
USDC and USDT, alongside fiat funding.
Funding guide lists USDC, DAI and cUSD, plus Bitcoin, Ether and fiat options.
Recipient choice
Fiat or crypto withdrawals, independent of how you fund.
Onchain ecosystem
Chains: Arbitrum, Avalanche, Ethereum, Monad, Optimism, Plasma, Polygon, Solana, Tron and TON. Wallets: Coinbase, Gnosis Safe, MEW, MetaMask and Torus. Liquidity: Uniswap. Accounting: QuickBooks, Rillet, Xero and Campfire.

Recipients configure bank or crypto receiving options, including split allocations. Confirm compatibility with your wallet and selected network.
Stablecoin & crypto payout fees
Personal Standard: 2% stablecoin fee, plus $15 for Ethereum-based stablecoin deposits. Other crypto has no listed onchain fee. Premium removes stablecoin flat fees. Conversion costs and other charges may apply.
Platform pricing
Pricing depends on the Rise product, employment model and volume. Request a quote for your workforce.
Business Non Premium: $0/month. Premium: $7.99 per recipient/month, with a $15.99 minimum. Enterprise pricing by quote. These are plan charges, not total transaction costs.
Workflow
Recurring, one-time and milestone payments; smart-contract automation.
Recurring payroll weekly, biweekly or monthly. Funding must still be sent and confirmed for each run.
Availability
Check product, country, token and network eligibility with Rise.
Token and country restrictions apply. Its payout guide states USDC is unavailable to US users; confirm current account eligibility.
Employment & tax workflow
Choose Employer of Record for international employment, or the Rise payroll product that fits your team. Product and country coverage differ.
For W2 crypto allocations, your existing provider handles tax withholding and deductions. Bitwage says it does not perform tax deductions.
Fee scopes differ: Rise’s $2.50 is a per-payout fee supplied by Rise; Bitwage figures distinguish Personal Standard transaction charges from Business plan subscriptions. These are not all-in payroll quotes. Compare conversion costs, plan fees, funding routes and eligibility. Listed integrations do not guarantee every token on every route.
