Copywriter with three years of experience skilled in writing about various different topics including travel, arts and culture, psychology, marketing and lifestyle as well as education material. I majored in Creative Writing during my undergrad education at Emerson and then got into copywriting when I got a my first gig which was, strangely enough, writing content for standardized tests. I wrote short fiction passages, poetry, short plays and non-fiction pieces for them. I’m really grateful for this first experience in the copywriting world because it taught me a lot about writing for a specific audience as each passage had to be geared towards a very specific grade level and use vocabulary words that corresponded with that grade level. Honing this skill early on has given me a lot of insight into for target audiences.
I gradually began to acquire more clients through networking and applying online. I branched out into travel writing for the app, Jack n Ferdi, social media writing for the Neo-Political Cowgirls, writing concert and art exhibit reviews for the lifestyle magazine Sensi and e-mail marketing content as well as educational financial content for W.E. Donoghue. Over the years I’ve really finetuned my abilities to switch tones and styles for different publications, edit and proofread with a careful eye and represent brands as their best selves on social media.
During quarantine, I have been ghostwriting for a boutique marketing firm. I wrote articles about SEO sprints vs. silos and lead generation strategies for them. In preparation to write these articles I watched a lot of Youtube videos and read a lot of articles on keyword tools such as Google Adwords, Moz keyword explorer and wordtracker. I also interviewed the founder of a marketing agency on qualitative consumer data collection methods such as web crawlers and digital ethnography.
